Parking
Horse-drawn caravans have no driving lights so they must be parked off the road during the hours of darkness.
Overnight Facilities
Designated farmers, guest-houses and pubs make overnight facilities available to horsedrawn caravan visitors for a fee. At a minimum, they provide parking for the caravan, grass for the horse, waste disposal, electric hook-ups, toilets and hot showers. However they sometimes provide much more, including packed-lunches, cooked meals, picnic tables, barbeques, farm produce and sometimes transport to local visitor attractions.
Information is always available about local events such as Irish-music sessions, Gaelic football matches, festivals, pub entertainment, and religious services.

Irish Traditional Music
Traditional music can be enjoyed in pubs in Belcarra (Friday nights), Balla (Tuesday), Ballintobber (Thursday) and Mayo Abbey (Fridays and first Monday of each month).
